LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS Developing skills that support and strengthen the education directors’ roles as educational and congregational leaders Providing professional enrichment for congregational rabbis, blending intensive workshops with individual coaching, enabling rabbis to identify and work towards goals that will strengthen their abilities as institutional leaders Offering workshops, conferences, consultation, coaching and mentoring to individuals and institutions, with particular emphasis on professional development, curriculum and program development in the areas of: Encouraging synagogues to make ongoing professional development a core component for their educational staff through the Ner Tamid program LASKO FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM Providing master teachers and school directors with the foundation to serve as special needs trainers and resources in their home institutions Supporting local and national educators, lay and professional leaders, and parents with innovative Jewish educational resources |

Transforming and strengthening synagogue schools through a comprehensive program that focuses on the systemic integration of six critical aspects of excellence: Assessment, Teacher Training, Educational Leadership, Organizational Development, Curriculum Development, and Parent and Family Engagement Replicating the NESS Initiative in the San Francisco Bay Area Providing training in the JSASIP, the NESS assessment component, in four additional communities Restructuring and strengthening elementary congregational education through an intensive, multi-year process Providing educational workshops, consultation, and facilitation services that enable synagogue leaders to build their capacities to effect strategic change HAROLD AND RENEE BERGER SYNAGOGUE NETWORK Creating and implementing initiatives to reach and engage families with young children in five pilot synagogues Training Reshet Facilitators and providing curricular resources in five communities outside of the Greater Philadelphia area Increasing member participation and engagement on Shabbat in Philadelphia area synagogues Customizing consultation and mentoring services to meet specific needs of congregations and their leaders Offering Jewish institutions contracted independent program evaluation services and/or consultation to create evaluation protocol |

Engaging Jewish families with young children in Jewish life through Jewish books, resources and programming Study Guides providing Jewish adult and family educational materials designed for independent learning ONE BOOK, ONE JEWISH COMMUNITY * Enhancing adult Jewish learning by supporting literature based programs and conversations stimulated by a featured Jewish book and its related themes Convening representatives from agencies that provide services to those with special needs to share ideas toward expanding and improving those services Training committed Jewish teens to assist children with special needs and those experiencing difficulty in Jewish classrooms Recruiting individuals interested in professional employment in the field of Jewish Education and assisting with school placement Supporting affinity groups of professionals as they meet to discuss current topics, grapple with relevant issues, share ideas, and brainstorm for future programming Providing intensive, ongoing professional training for educators working with teens, in order to establish a deep-rooted connection to Israel during a critical period of adolescent development |
